Yes, that is correct, and no, we definitely cannot believe it either. One year ago yesterday, Chris and I woke up very early, bags packed, and made our way to the airport in Laurel and hopped on the Sanderson Farms airplane and traveled to our life here in Georgia. What a scary day!! When we arrived in Moultrie, Chris' co-worker Louis picked us up and gave me a small tour of Moultrie on the way to the plant. I have to say that I was not very impressed at the time. Chris and others had led me to believe that Moultrie was the size of Laurel... WRONG! A month of living in a hotel was bad, two weeks in the apartment was worse, but we finally made it to our wonderful house in Hahira (not that Moultrie was not a good place to live, but Hahira is more convenient to the both of us). I have grown to like Moultrie and the visits I make there every so often. It has a fabulous downtown area, and Christmas in Moultrie is absolutely beautiful. Chris loves working there, and he has met and works with some wonderful people. Hahira sure has grown on us, too. It's a fantastic small town; one where everybody knows everybody. We chose a great place. Last but not least, we love being close to Valdosta. It is a lot like Hattiesburg (which is in Mississippi for you Georgia readers), and the friends there might help us like it a little more :)
If you were to ask me about eleven months ago how I felt about moving, I would have said, "what were we thinking?" However, if you ask me that today, I will tell you that we made the right decision. Now before Mississippi gets mad, we do miss seeing and being with everyone more than you can imagine, but this has been a great experience that has given us some additional amazing, life-long friends/adopted family! We say all the time that our dream would be to merge the two places with all of our friends and family, but sadly, we don't think that is possible.
As everyone knows, we can't stay away from MS for too long, so we are going home for a WEEK!
The past year has been a crazy, emotional, exciting roller coaster that we are glad we got on. We want to thank everyone, both here and there, because we could not have done this without your support and care. We now consider both places home, and we are so blessed to be able to do that.
Congratulations to Chris for his ONE YEAR job anniversary - I am so proud of you!

We can't wait to see what the next year brings!
